Home / Why this route

Why use CNFans, why read this CNFans Spreadsheet, and when to choose differently

Three questions, answered in the order that keeps them honest: what every agent does the same way, what CNFans showed that was its own, and the cases where waiting or another route makes more sense.

What every shopping agent does the same way

Final say here: the catalog card

Strip away the branding and every shopping agent runs the same four jobs. It buys from a Chinese seller on your behalf, receives the parcel at a warehouse in China, photographs what arrived, and ships your items abroad on lines it buys from carriers. The seller usually cannot tell which agent placed an order and sets the same item price either way.

So the item price is not where agents differ. They differ in what they charge for their own work, which lines they can offer to your country, how many photos they take and how they handle a seller who sends the wrong thing. Those are the questions worth asking of any agent, CNFans included, and they are all answered on the agent's own pages rather than in any catalog.

What CNFans showed that was its own

Final say here: CNFans pages

Our evidence for CNFans in particular is its home page as it rendered on 23 August 2026. That page located its warehouse no more precisely than China. Its help center listed categories that included Returns and Refunds and Insurance and Compensation, which tells you those topics had pages, though not what the pages said. Visa and Mastercard logos sat in its footer.

The page's quality check section ended with a promise of “a reliable after-sales service guarantee”. We quote it as words on a page dated 23 August 2026, not as a term you can rely on today: the help pages that would define that guarantee were never captured, and the site has been in maintenance since October.

When another route makes more sense

Right now the plainest reason is that cnfans.com cannot take an order: as of 20 October 2026 every path we requested served the maintenance notice. If you need something soon, that settles it; this is when to use a different agent and come back to CNFans later, if at all.

The other cases hold even once the site returns. If you want to read a published fee schedule before spending anything, pick one whose charges you can actually read on the day. If your item has a battery or a liquid, check that the agent actually offers a line to your country that carries it. If you need support in a particular language or time zone, test the support channel with a question before you pay.

Other shopping agents, in general terms

The rest of the field follows the same basic pattern, and most agents publish more than a catalog can show. When you compare them, compare like with like on the same day: open each agent's own fee page, line list and photo policy, and screenshot what you read. A fee that looks small per item can matter more than a line price on a parcel of many cheap things.

We do not rank agents or name favorites here. A ranking would need data nobody publishes in a comparable form, and the useful comparison depends on your parcel: its weight, its contents and your country. Read the four things below for each agent you consider, and the right one for that parcel usually becomes obvious.

What this catalog adds, and the upkeep behind it

Final say here: the catalog card

Why this site, among the many CNFans catalogs: it tells you which page decides each question, it dates every CNFans quote, and it says plainly what nobody outside CNFans knows. It is not paid by CNFans and does not claim to speak for it.

Here is how this spreadsheet is kept. The category cards link to live catalog results rather than frozen copies, so they never show an item that has vanished for long. The photos on our own cards carry the date we pulled them. The CNFans status line is rechecked and each check is logged on the updates page. Dead links are removed when we find them or when a reader writes in, and the date of every change goes into the log.

What we do not know about CNFans

Final say here: CNFans pages

Some gaps are worth naming because people fill them with guesses. The archived pages did not name the company that runs CNFans. They printed no service fee in figures that we could read, no storage period we could rely on and no insurance terms. The current return rules and the reopening date are unknown too.

When cnfans.com renders its shop again we will read those pages, quote them with the date, and change this list. Until then, if a post or a site gives you a firm figure for any of these, ask where it came from and when it was seen.
